About welshabba

The Blogger

I am David W. Aston. I live in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. I chose welshabba as my internet name as a tribute to my ethnic heritage (my father was Welsh by birth) and my children (who call me Abba).

I was born into a loving, devout Christian family.  I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, USA. I was very active in my local church and eventually studied for the ministry.  I spent eight years as a pastor before resigning my ordination and returning to Pennsylvania.  My spiritual journey eventually led me to traditional Judaism.  I converted more than thirty years ago and have been a practicing Jew ever since. To learn more about me and my various projects, please visit my personal website at https://sites.google.com/view/welshabba.

If you would like to contact me, I can be reached via email at welshabba@gmail.com. (Please make sure to include your name and email address if you would like me to reply directly.  I never share your email address with anyone.) My business phone number is 267-225-8573 where you can leave a voice mail or text message. I return calls and messages promptly usually within one or two business days.
